To boost the morale and convey the message to the armed

forces, Prime Minister Modi invited participation from

citizens in sending their good wishes and Diwali greetings

to them and letting the valiant soldiers know that the

entire country stands in solidarity with them.

Ordinary citizens participated in huge

number and shared their greetings and

hand-written messages with the army

men through social media and Narendra

Modi App, showing their admiration for

the jawans.

Messages of appreciation poured in from all across

the country for their devotion to duty, be it guarding

at some remote snow-clad mountain or far-off dry

lands and forests. People of all age-groups, right

from elderly people to children, participated in

large number.
